At Sysco, we know that we must be active citizens within the communities in which we live, work and serve. Our commitment to social responsibility encompasses employee volunteer initiatives and fundraising partnerships that make a difference every day in our communities across the Southern Louisiana and Southern Mississippi markets.  Below are some of the philanthropies that we at Sysco New Orleans have proudly participated in.

Share Our Strength is a national organization working to end childhood hunger in the United States.
Share Our Strength holds culinary events, solicits individual donations, and uses social media to raise funds,
which are then used to fund long-term solutions to the hunger problem.
Second Harvest Food Bank is leading the fight against hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response.
Second Harvest provides food to over 450 partners and programs across more than 20 parishes.
Together, we make up the largest anti-hunger network in the state.
With more than 100,000 survivors and activists, we are the world's largest, most progressive grassroots network of people fighting to end breast cancer.
Our mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and investing in science to find the cures.
The Blood Center is the primary supplier of blood, blood components and plasma derivatives to local hospitals throughout South Louisiana and parts of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
We are a non-profit, community service organization with a mission to provide a quality supply of blood components to meet the needs of the communities
and to provide the technical support needed by the blood banking profession to achieve the highest safety and ethical standards.
